Default Simtek ECU Question?

Thinking about going down the simtek route as i want to get rid of the maf & also get launch control.

I would like to know if the simtek ecu for a 2005 2.0 Sti would be compatible with the newer 2.5 engine? As when i sell my scoob in a couple of years i would probably go for the 2.5 hatchback

Dont want to end up having to buy two simteks ecu's

Thanks for any help

The Simtek range currently doesn't support the drive-by-wire cars. The drive-by-wire ECU is in the pipeline, so it wouldn't support your hatchback if you get one currently.

Give me a ring for full details.

The ECU connectors are different on the 2.0L 2005 and hatchback DBW cars....so you will have difficulty swapping whatever ECU you purchase between these two models.

Thats very true! Two different connectors, along with different pinouts for each.

Any reason for changing cars? Is it imminent or just something you're thinking about?

My plans are to sell my car in two years & use all the money for a build Im running 396bhp just now but you always seem to want more

I hope to buy a 2.5 next time and was hoping I would be able to use the simtek in that car basically trying to save some pennies

Thanks again for the info
