Default Vacuum Hose split.

Hi all, b4 i start i want to thank any of you that have taken the time too look at my post.
THANK YOU
I have just had my02 impreza wagon(uk) remapped after adding a few extras,
The chap who mapped it noticed i had a split in a vacuum hose, i have two questions to ask.
1) What size is the the vacuum hose that i have circled and put an x through in the pic below? It is roughly split in that part of the hose where the x is, ive looked around and the hoses seem to come in 2mm 3mm 4mm and 5mm sizes and i was wondering if anyone could tell me what size i need for my car. Since i got my FMIC fitted i have noticed the car holding back when it came to boosting, and running rich (i diagnosed it with my own equip) but thought the holding back and sometimes pluttery boost was due to needing a remap, but it was (i think) just down to this splitt hose. I'm going to change all the hoses seen in the pic and need to know what size they are. I have just got the standard turbo on the car at the moment.

2) will my car need to be remapped again after i have replace the hoses as the car might not of been giing out tru readings with a split hose?
Thanks again for taking your time to read this and i look forward to your replies. All the best P

It may need the boost solenoid duties correcting yes, if it was leaking during the map. I use 4mm silicone hose, just make sure you retain the original restrictor pill in the line. Suprised this wasn't found during mapping tbh, I always do a check on the boost control lines, usually have to change the pill to get the boost expected on the WRXs.

Hope this helps,

Graham
