PPP Exhaust
Hi,
I was doing the A/F sensor on my dad's '03 WRX today, and noticed that the centre section of the exhaust was holed.
Now, he's got a PPP pack, and I/we thought that included a stainless exhaust. The rear is stainless, but the centre section certainly isn't!
Should the centre section be stainless? Not sure if anyone remembers, but he had some bother with the Highland Gestapo with the noise levels, and Subaru took the car away for a while to do sound tests on it with and without the PPP exhaust system. I'm just wondering if they left a non-PPP centre section on.
Also, does anyone know a good place to buy exhaust parts for the WRX? I've tried the usual places I use, but none are listing them.
Cheers,
Iain

I can confirm the PPP does not include the centre section. It only includes the stainless backbox, and the "mid-pipe" section where the 2nd cat normally is. Subaru weren't generous enough to include a full cat back stainless exhaust in the £1600 option

Centre section isn't part of the ppp and is just a resonated section. Plenty of places to get parts online mate.
Or try the marketplace on here. Always lots of exhaust bits up for grabs

I have the PPP and replaced my centre section with a Hayward and Scott straight though stainless section. All for ~£100 and they fit it for you which takes no longer than 5 mins. They are one of the best exhausts you can buy.
