Default leak in top rad hose

hi guys noticed got a leak in top rad hose only like a pin hole had waterpump an cam belt change 3 weeks ago now this pipe is ****ed sum 1 has told me could be the start ov the heads goin is this right ?turbo 2000 1997

I wouldn't say so, just pipes starting to perish! Happened on mine so replaced it then bought a full set of silicone hoses and changed all the hoses before one did fail and cause an overheat!!!

gona get replacement well tryin to dont think can get it till tuesday now gutted 35 quid aswell how much are them silicone hoses m8

had 7 imprezas and replaced 6 hoses what does that tell you lol.
Top hose left hand side facing engine. (i replaced with samco or similar ebay has best price for these).

Prices vary depending on make and size of kit. Look on eBay and/or google search to find companies who can supply

It's likely that the hose has developed a TINY split after being manhandled/squeezed during doing the cambelt/waterpump. Nowt to worry about.

Mine did the same when I had a new rad, then split the top-hose to fit a sender unit for my Defi gauge.

A genuine one is £35, but a local motor factor offered me a pattern one for less than £8.

Once yours is off, have a look inside while squeezing it: mine looked like someone had repeatedly slashed it with a sharp blade.
