Default Which red for calipers?

Anyone know what red paint to use for 4 pot calipers. Or colour code etc. Want to keep it same colour as standard.

I used hammerite red. A lot of people on here seem to have done.

gotta agree with the halfords high temp paint, used hammerite before maybe i didn't do it right or enough coats but the red seemed to fade after awhile. But last time i used the Halfords High temp paint and it keeps it's glossy look quite well.
Cheers Cal

There was never a standard red caliper on any Impreza 4 pots.

I've always used Hammerite smooth for it's ease of use, quick drying time, and ability to show no brushmarks.

Cheap too. A small tin does all four calipers with some left over.

No mate, a caliper is full of brake fluid, remember. If it reached any sort of high temperature, it would boil off the fluid.

Hammerite is fine.

Maybe I shouldn't have stayed out for 30+ minutes
Well how do you explain this.

Can't.

Alls I can say is Hammerite has been fine on EVERY caliper I've ever painted with it, which includes those I bought for the front of my Scoob, the Brembos I bought for the rear, those on the front of my lad's Clio 197 sport, (also Brembos), those on my youngest's Corsa SRi, those on my eldest's old Ibiza, those on two Saxo VTR's owned by the youngest, etc etc.

No discolouration and used red, blue and green colours.

None of them have ever been tracked, mind.

Hammerite fine on mine, even tho I overheated the fronts so much and so often that I took the laquer off the wheels. Had the wheels powder coated now to prevent it happening again, but the Hammerited calipers are fine.

Hammerite fine here too. All i can say is sometimes after hard driving you can slightly smell the paint. Good stuff though.

Really???
I've seen plenty of calipers painted with hammerite and (under heavy) use it either discolours (at best) or just melts and leaves a right mess everywhere, meaning you have to do the whole job again. Waste of time and money imo.
