Impreza Exhaust
#1
Does anyone know if the any difference between the lenght of a 4 door and 5 door exhaust?
Also has anyone tried to fit a Impreza rear box on to a legacy estate?
Another one: if so, does anyone have a none standard rear box that they want to flog?

Technical information line here! Dont worry not charge you too much. 4 & 5 door Imps are the same. The box on an Imp is a lot shorter than a Legacy. You`d have to cut the pipe before the box and weld an extra piece in so your rear hangers reach.

Hi Dean.
If you cut the pipe just before the box,you can weld some tube in easily enough. The joint where the rear section meets the centre stays the same,so as long as this joint is compatible no problem.
Cheers

Compared a backbox from a '99 Impreza Turbo with a '93 Legacy Turbo, and the backbox from the Legacy is about 6" shorter, but the diameter is also smaller and the joining flange is also smaller so the bolt holes won't line up.
