I have a my 95 import wrx with no mods apart from exhaust,i fitted timing belt yesterday and all was fine,used car today and was runing fine,put petrol in it and went for drive,then it started runing rough and missing,it was that bad it sounds like it runing on 3 cylinders,and then the cat light came up and car wouldnt tick over and lost all power.when i stopped the car had a little bit of smoke coming from engine bay by the exhaust.there was no cel light but i done a check and it brings up throttle position sensor and maf.would a faulty maf cause it hard to start and to run on 3 cylinders and cause cat light too come up.ive checked the timing and all is fine there..any ideas welcome.
