Question

Any one out there had this problem?

When I blip the remote all of the doors lock as per normal but for about 3 seconds there is a grinding type noise from the drivers door unit. It sounds as if the motor is over running and trying to lock the doors again and maybe the noise is a cam slipping in the unit?? It unlocks fine! Been doing it occasionally for about two months but is now happening near enough all of the time.

Any thoughts?

Cheers Chris

Question

Any thoughts out there? I don't want to be spending loads of money for no reason! I also don't want to be locked out of the car if it completely breaks!!

Cheers

Why don't you flip of the inner door and check it out? If a motor is spinning or something is broken you should be able to see it if you lock the door from the inside?

Chris

I had the exactly the same problem as you.

I replaced the drivers door locking solenoid which cured the fault.
