Default Electric Mirror Switch

Hi Everyone.....
Before I start doing something I will regret, I thought I would ask you guys before doing it.
I need to replace the standard mirror switch which is located by the handbrake in my blobeye wrx.
Is it a case of it popping it out or do I need to do something else instead.
Ive been told also the wiring is there already to get my mirrors to fold when I have purchased some mirrors with the correct switch that do....Is this true?
Thanks Guys
Gandy

Yes, the switch just pops out.

It's unlikley that the wiring is there, BUT it's a piece of p*ss to put it in place. I did mine on a classic, had no idea, but found what was what and it took half a day.

its possible some wiring is there. Mine, classic MY00, had the wiring to from the mirror, to the junction boxes at the base of each door, in the foot-wells. So I only needed to run cables from there to the switch.
