Unhappy uk 2001 ecu keycode help

hi ive just bought a ppp 2002 sti ecu from ebay , fitted it to my 2001 wrx uk but wont start , can i get it decoded or somthing ,,,,,

Theres 2 ways to turn off the immobilizer the fob which you get with the keys,or as you sit in the car theres a flap in front your right knee,pull it down and you can type the code in hopefully you have it with the paper work.

sounds like its already immobilized then.Id plug in a obd2 diagnostic tester and see what that turns up.You can buy them for about £20.

An sti ecu won't work on your car, plus the map is totally different and if it did your car would probably blow up.

Sorry missed that sti ecu on a wrx wont work.There's different wiring and the sti has avcs,i thought you had bought a car and couldn't turn of the immobiliser.(Just sprayed a bike that stuff is strong lol.)

There's not much point fitting a different ecu to a bugeye your better of getting a map done to suit your needs.The only non standard ecu that will work is probably a uk300 type.
