quick question im trying to remove the crank pully bolt to stop it from spinning can i just put it in gear that will stop the pully from spinning..as im stuck trying to remove the bolt

 

use breaker bar then wedge it agaist chassis rail use an old towel or t shirt on the handle to stop scratching / denting, then flick car over on the key to remove bolt ! but just beware the socket is on completley !! good luck..

 

In 4th or 5th gear, hand brake firmly on, may need to get someone to press on the brake pedal too (there is alot of free play in the drivetrain).

Or the starter motor trick as mentioned in teh post above (but use with caution, only needs to switched for a micro second).
