Question My00 maf simulator conversion??

I've just found a post on here from about 4 years ago, and someone said a maf simulator conversion could be done to run mafless on my00 turbo (as we all know these mafs are kack!) but I can't find any other info. I want to run an induction kit on mine but don't fancy a new ecu just to run mafless as im not interested in a/l or l/c. Any thoughts/ideas??

Thanks

i think you are on about the mafsim

it was something that could of been used with the apexi power fc ecu.

but tbh, if the maf is secure and not flapping around from a hanging induction kit, or a over oiled filter, you should be ok with the standard maf, even if the car has mods.

another rout is a z32/q45 maf or the newage maf, but as above it will need a remapple ecu

Oh ok, it's just that I've been told induction kits destroy the mafs on my99/my00 cars pretty quickly and I would like to have one when I get it mapped. So these other mafs you speak of cant be used on an ecutek map on my standard ecu, I'd have to have an aftermarket one?

Best option for you will be aftermarket ECU,if you want run Mafless...
This is possible on newage via speed density tune, for Classic is only option aftermarket ECU
Or you can have look at this and contact here John Banks for more infos

im not 100% sure, but think the ecutek will be fine. as they have to rescale the maf sensor.

im running a in the wing cold induction kit with a big K&N filter and over standard with out any problems. I think im on my 2nd maf in about 5 years

The only thing I'm worried about is if I do just go for it and use an induction kit and the maf starts to fail and my cel doesn't light up I could destroy my block which is currently having a rebuild that's costing me lots of pennies!!!
