but after the last dyno run turned off and went to start and it wouldnt
start, after a look it looks like the apexi has died,

Living on borrowed time.

Is the mapper able to access the ecu with a laptop (e.g datalogit) if he can get him to save the map, and reset to default settings and see what happens. if you look on google there are issues with the hand controller freezing, not sure if it affects the ecu though.

i asked if there was anyting to worry bout the engine he said it was strong engine
as its only low mileage on it,and it is safe, the injectors are maxed 100%.
he knows his stuff http://www.enginetuning.net/
he has saved the map and reset it and still the same.

Think highest I have pushed a uk 2000 engine is 385bhp with owners enfusiasm/understanding and 18months in it is still fine.
But it was a v low mileage car.

I do have a 2nd hand apexi powerfc for 99/00 here if you wanted one.

Simon, presumably the UK Turbo 2000's internals are to JDM WRX spec, MY for MY i.e. is it effectively a WRX pulled off the production line and minor changes/lower boost-set ECU/longer gearing, etc.????

Or are they inferior to the WRX in the engine internals, etc. department?
