Which Radiator?
OK time has come that im going to change my radiator, not loosing any fluid really but got a green fluid around the top which smells every time i pull up and get out of the car and the last thing i want is the radiator going on me when im 100miles from home....
my question is, which is the best radiator to get?
standard subaru is something like £300! (what mm is that?)
so i have seen two Alloy aftermarket rads, they are different sizes tho
this is 30mm
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
this one is 42mm
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
they are basically the same price so its just which is the best to go for, or if someone else knows of a better company let me know
(Car is a 2005 WRX Prodrive)
Cheers

The ebay ones are totally fine mate, had one in mine. just get the cheapest one for your model, make sure its not too much cheaper than the others though as theres bound to be a catch.

will they fit!
Just about to order one of the Aluminum ones...
however i notice that the filler cap is on top of the Rad... on mine its slightly off as per this picture
http://www.cbautomotive.co.uk/cars/s...engine-bay.jpg
the company says they are both a straight swap but im wondering how the pipework will fit if the cap is in a different place..
they sell this one which will defo fit but would prefer alu one rather than plastic/alu

any thoughts?

I looked at e-bay, then went on www.yell.com and entered "car radiators".
A local guy sold me one for £64 and threw in two new DECENT Jubilee clips for free. He guarantees it for two years. e-bay sellers don't.
It is IDENTICAL to the one I took off except it hasn't got the hole at the bottom. My old one lasted 12 years, it was so old that brushing fingertips over the fins caused them to crumble.
I would recommend you do the same. The alloy ones can be a pain to fit.
ALSO: DO change the top-hose when changing the rad. I didn't, and all that manipulating it caused it to pinhole, so I had to drain down and do it a week later
And be VERY careful with the small pipe spigot next to the top-hose, dead easy to snap off when removing/refitting it's pipework
