i have a 2004 04plate sti type uk doin a wheel bearing change, the garage im taking it to to have the bearing pressed out the hub may think its sealed and i need a complete hub with bearing sealed in side...is that the case, i know the guy at parkers where i got the wheel bearing from said the later models have sealed hub bearings but he said an 04 plate should be ok|??????? any suggestions

 

Sure its just a bearing on that, think it is on all models, upto the hatchback at least..

 

yeah i think ur right done sum research..2005 onwards are a complete new sealed hub bearing £240 quid then labourouch just for a faulty bearing......hopefully my hub will be ok thats if the bearing aint chewed it up...we shall c, if not a 44quid fix.
