Recently my 754 box has been making a triiiiing sort of noise in 3rd 4th and 5th gears goes away when knocked out of gear engages smoothly and doesnt crunch tho - after much huffing and puffing and lots of "f "and "c " words the box is out - im going to have a go myself to see if the problem is obvious as im not a bad spanner twirler - what tricks and traps are waiting for me - does the transfer case and ext box just unbolt from the back of the main housing for instance ?

would be really gratefull of any info
