Water leak
I have noticed my 2001 classic has recently started to leak water
it seems to be dripping down from somewhere behind the oil sump. Anyone have any ideas where it is coming from? I have already had to replace a couple of hoses as they have perished so I am hoping it is just a hose and nothing more serious.

At the back of the engine you have the heater matrix pipes and the turbo coolant pipe.
There's a couple other smaller pipes, but they are mostly ONTOP of the engine, so i'd get the other ones i mention checked first.

Can you get under it while it's running to find the leak, rather than wait for it to lose all it's coolant while miles from home?
Maybe a local garage would put it on ramps for you to identify the problem?

I'm sure the car knows she is up for sale. never had a problem in 18 months then I have had the immobilizer, thermostat and now this all in the space of 3 weeks.
