hi guys

Currently my MY95 STI has a 3" decat reduced to 2.5", the new exhaust system i purchased from scooby clinic wont fit the reduced section of the decat pipe as the decat pipe flange is flat. I have a 2.5" decat pipe in the garage that will fit it but am worried i will loose power and need to get it remapped again,,, any idea guys??? as the scooby clinic decat pipe including delivery is almost £400 pounds which is mega??(but it will fit)

Hi. I might be wrong but I DON'T think that you'll lose any power. You won't be able to feel any difference between 2.5 and 3 inch exhaust, unless you're going for serious BHP like 400-500 Bhp. As I said, it is only my private opinion. I'll bet that some people on here could give you more "confirmed" informations about exhaust size.

By the way, I can see you've got V2 right? Same as mine. Who mapped your car and how much did you pay ? What mods? Cheers

 

my car was mapped by andy forrest think he charged £300 pounds at the time but the car is fitted with a FC commander, FSE FPR, 255 FP, AFP16G turbo, HKS induction, ARC intercooler, Jap 3" exhaust with decat; V7 bottom end, KYB's , white line ARB's strut braces etc the list goes on and on LOL

What BHP you're running at the moment with these mods ?

 

no idea mate havent had a chance to get it on a rolling road but would expect 300bhp at least, i have a set of 440cc injectors FMIC and DV to fit over the next few weeks!! then remap it again!!! once this is done a trip to the rollers will be in order!! ive had a mapped WR1 and an RB320 and this feels alot faster !!!

 

so having a full 2.5" over the 3" decat will have no effect on power then??? and wont effect my map??

Strange question, were you at halfords in Torry on Sun? I saw a similar car to yours there when i went to get some sealant.

 

nope not me in halfords the car was tucked up in the barn, or at least i hope it was LOL!! havent emailed andy yet but will do later on i know hes a busy man and though i would try here first as my car is still on the ramps awaiting an answer...??? looks like i will go ahead and fit the 2.5" magnex one that i have and see what happens??? the car will be going back to ANdy next moth to get a remap anyway.
