front entry td05's?

Default front entry td05's?

what motors run these? or did only early classics run td05's and the others are imitations?

no subaru ran a front entry tdo5 and only early classics ran the up swept tdo5.

so where have these unconverted td05's came from? cheap ebay jobs?

no no!! None of the imprezas CAME as std with Front entry TD05's..... But there are LOADS of after market ones i.e. Mitsubishi make bolt on TD05's that are unconverted I think.

As above mitsubishi made front entry td05s but i dont think they fit, subaru only made side entry as they changed to the vf range when they went to front entry

I've just fitted a front entry converted td05 to a mates bugeye. You can cut the upswept intake off and cut just the end off, then weld it onto the compressor cover to make it front entry.

Yes OP, either do as James has said... Or you can buy a F.E. comp. cover form Andy Forrest.

You can also get 'em off eBay... But I wouldn't, TBH!

Dont they come with differant housings i thought evos had a bolt on pipe rather than than a slip on hose like subaru

They are but i think you will find there supplied with differant covers at least when i had a evo they were as i bought a second hand subaru one and it didnt fit although apart from the cover they were identical,maybe in the add above they supply the same turbo with differant covers already fitted

Yes, the TD0x range are a Mitsy-manufactured tubby.

But they weren't designed for the Mitsys - it's a Subaru-fit item! And a beautiful piece of irony if you ask me.

Although that said, the Lancer Evo does have its own designed TD0x range of turbos too - but obviously with different shaped compressor/exhaust housings to suit that car's plumbing.
