Guys...Ive got an 02 Forester 2.0l XT which is totally standard, running 170hp..I dont want to get in to any major tuning or modifications as I dont really understand all that stuff or want to over complicate matters...But could anyone recomend a straight forward ECU that would improve performance closer to the Impreza output, without any other major changes needed. Or a better idea to increase power as the Forester motors seem to have the same Impreza engine but different chip, I think???..and a decent place to have it done, preferably in the north east area.....

No need to swap the ecu, your stock one can be remapped using Ecutek software.
