I know ive been on her before about cold starting problems but ive just thought when i first bought my 1995 impreza wrx the b*stard i bought it off left it empty and because i didnt know the area i had to get fuel quick and i put in low graded fuel from a scummy non named garage could this have made my car crap at starting in the morning? If so can i just reset my ecu?

Stay off boost, use as much as the **** up as you can, and then refill with the fuel of your choice.

If it was that low, id suggest changing the fuel filter and running some injector cleaner through the tank.

As above, you dont need to worry about the ecu i wouldnt have thought 95ron fuel would effect starting anyway infact if its a standard uk car it should be ok to use

If everything is ok mechanically you would proberly be better of buying a fault code reader and see if it shows up any fault codes i think there only £20/25

Cold starting issues can be caused by the coolant sensor, the ECU one, even if an error isnt being logged (been there etc)
Then, with any new car (owner of) , change the fuel filter/plugs and air filter.
