Default Boost solenoid clicking

Hi lads ive just started my subaru impreza turbo uk 1997 and when you rev the car the boost solenoid is making a fast clicking noise like something is shorting out noise. Any ideas what this might be. Thanx

Try cleaning it out and see if that helps, might just be clogged up.

Nothing wrong. It should click continually on all but tick over. When it does not click, then worry.

As said, you've probably not noticed it before.

It should be silent on tick over, then as you say, as soon as you touch the throttle it starts to click away like a good 'un. As it should.

A slight twist on that JAutos. Remove the steel tube within the rubber bush/mount and bolt straight through the rubber, using a little thread lock.
Smokingbud: This does not stop the clicking, it just lessens the transfer of vibration noise to the body and makes it less audible/annoying.
