Default Rear bush

I got my car a couple of weeks ago, took it to the garage the other day as I had a slight vibration when taking up drive and getting up to speed through the pedals/floor.

They have ordered in new rear bushes for ones which are worn.

Would this lead to this vibration? Just not sure as never had 4 wheel drive car before so not sure what you get from worn rear bushes. All the bushes have been upgraded to poly and infact the anti roll bars have been replaced with thicker ones and the bottom arms have also been upgraded, does this sometimes lead to some more vibrations etc?

Apprecaite any help.

LOL @ above.

To op: yes, thicker arbs, solid droplinks, poly bushes will all add to NVH, (Noise, Vehicle Harshness).

My own car can feel every time I run over a matchstick But it DOES grip and handle well.

LOL@1st reply , made me laugh pretty loudly!

Thanks alcazar, I have no issues with the handling, it is nothing short of amazing to be honest, sticks like glue in any corner but just wanted to make sure that the vibration was normal, once it is up to speed I dont feel anything, just a bit bumpy on some roads.

It didn't ought to VIBRATE as such, but you WILL feel noise through the car, plus ROAD vibration.

If you have vibration, it may be something is out of balnce. get wheels, hubs and brakes checked, plus look for cuts or blebs on tyres.

Is hard to describe but I would say it is a vibration/rattle but not sure if the rear bushes being worn would lead to a vibration through the floor/pedals? Is only when taking up drive and at slow speeds, feel very little at speed.

Is funny you should say that.

My friend who used to own an STI, the same age/model as mine, drove the car and said it felt exactly like his did with the vibration/noises etc and commented that as I had come from a German car I would notice quite a difference so that is likely to be it.

Love the car, the handling is simply stunning.
