Default cleaning a 3 port

is it easy to do?is brake cleaner ok?i had a fault code 44 come up and was told the 3 port maybe needed cleaning.the car misses on boost.has anyone else had anything similar happen?

Mines been doing something bizarre too on my 03 wrx with 3 port and TD04. I was told it could be an actuator arm problem. With all the cold weather and damp it could be sticking so I liberally sprayed WD40 on the hinge. Seems to have helped but I maybe in the same boat that my 3 ports needs a clean.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread

WoW so easy, I might have a go tomorrow, cant hurt surely ?

However where am I spraying the brake cleaner , in the hose or the solenoid, sorry if that sounds a daft question but not had to do this before

thanks for that mate.i tried to do a search but couldnt find any cleaning 3 port threads

You can start by spraying the brake cleaner in the top of the solenoid, then the middle port. If you have left the bottom port unconnectedyou should see the fluid running out of here. You can then spray it down each individual hose.

the green plugs are found in the drivers foot well just under the dash
