Default Removing rear discs

Hi guys,

Iv got new discs and pads on the way all round for my 2003 Blobeye WRX.

Not done them on a scooby before, Im guessing to get the rear discs off ill need to slacken the handbrake shoes off??

How do i do this? I work on toyota's normally and they normally have a rubber grommet on the front of the disc that you can stick a screwdriver through and adjust the handbrake - but obviously they dont have that on the scoob...

Any help appreciated, thanks

you need to take the calipers off the hand brake adjuster is behind the discs itself, so leave the handbrake off, once the calipers are off depends if the discs have been changed in the past, a good old hammer my need to come into play to help get the discs off hope this helps

I found that just slackening the cable at the handbrake lever did the trick.

I'm going to do my rears after Christmas. Not done rears before and still a bit concerned about foofing up the handbrake despite these helpful illustrations.
