Default electric folding mirrors

hi guys just a question on how to remove the mirror glass in a wing mirror as im swapping all internalls out of an electric folding set to put in my uk just wondered if they just pull out or are they clipped in some how 96 classic model

I asked about this, local bodyshop told me it was VERY difficult to get the glass out without breaking it.

I ended up having the new ones resprayed.

you need to pour boiling water on the plastic surround of the mirror glass and pry the mirror out!!!!
asked this question before and got no answer so spent ages trying to work out how.

I have a set of white ones for a classic if you're interested. Got them for the legacy as I was told they're the same but the mounting is different so I need to get rid and get the right ones...

Subaru recommend a hairdryer to soften the plastic lip around the glass that holds the glass in

ahhh im trying to get the black surround off with the glass woops i will try and get the glass off first then cheers guys will let you know

I see that, nice guide

However, if you are hoping to do thisto swap out the folding internals to the Uk mirrors, that won't work. Folding mirrors base's are metal, UK is plastic, and the mounting points for the motor are not there.
It might be able to be tweaked, I done mine years ago.
