I'm looking at doing it to mine you can't just change the clocks you have to change the entire dash as the shape and mounts of the clocks are different also the wiring is different. Dependent on year it could also have a mechanical speedo feed instead of electrical.
Hope that helps

Hi thanks for that mate, ill get on the look out for a dash, its a 96, p reg, so id assume itll be mechanical, my 1993 wrx import was, can you get wiring converters? or would i need to get an auto electrician to do the wiring? im a dab hand with mechanical and body repairs but electrics confuse me a little lol

You are looking at HOURS of work.

Complete dash and front doorcards, since the fit between them iks also wrong if one is changed.

The wiring is a nightmare, takes hours with every wire to trace, the plugs are different and you need to organise a speedo convertor from mechanical to electrical.Switchgear is in different psoitions, the heater controls are different.......phew.

TBH, you'd be better swapping the car again for a 97 onwards one WITH the dash you want..........

If you are going to the hassle of changing the dash, you might as well go the whole hog and change to a newage dash with the defi style amber clocks......
