This pipe that comes off the manifold, i think it has come off or it goes somwhere.

What is this bit that i have cirlcled?
Because i think the pipe off the manifold goes in there but im not sure.

the car is running fine but i can hear a hissing sound coming from the manifold.

i do know that you can have a boost guage connected there but my boost guage is working so oversly thats fine.

So what is this thing ive circled.

It's the Purge Control Solenoid.

One side of it should be connected to the inlet manifold, as per your first picture.
The other side should go to the carbon canister, which is bolted to the front of the driver's side chassis leg, behind the radiator.

 

as the second picture shows, i need to basically connect that pipe back up to the purge solenoid.

Also will this affect the car while its off? or should it be put back on asap?
