Default boost solonoid clicking/fuel system wont prime

ive had this every day for a week to and from work.

when i turn the ignition and try start the car it turns over slowly. the boost solonoid by the o/s strut will be clicking away constantly. if i tap/flick the solonoid many times eventually it will prime and turn over quickly. the engine will start right away.

the car is a 93 import wrx.

do we think its related to the cold or just wearing/sticking?

ive owned the car 6 1/2 years never had this.

cheers

I don't think your boost solenoid is at fault here. A faulty boost solenoid would not stop a car from starting.

You say the car turns over slowly, have you tried borrowing a battery to see if it improves matters?
