Started getting a dash warning light since its started snowing, but what does it mean?

The light is red and looks like and exhaust part with steam coming off of it?

Is it thr CAT? Coz I don't have one ????

I expect you still have the sensor perhaps that is being affected by the weather?

 

Yea, I thought as much. Aye all the sensors are going mental with the weather we've got up here at the minute... ABS especially

Is there such a symbol? To indicate a burning cat? I've never seen one before. How does it look?

 

Red in colour, kind of an exhaust shape (pipe with middle section wider) and with what look like steam lines out the top... I don't think it means the CAT is actually on fire, just that its overheating

 

I'm onto my 3rd Impreza. And i never knew such as symbol existed. Oh wait, i think only the classics have this.

 

IIRC they are fitted std to all automatic legacy/impreza's before the facelift,not sure about the manal cars. It is the cat overheating warning light.Once you slow down and let the cats cool the light should go out.
