is the only way to tell that my engine is an STI engine, by taking it to bits???

version 4 STI, with a reconditioned engine. Its got red top and coil pack on centre of engine but how can i be sure whats inside tho?

 

The only way to be 100% sure that its never been tampered with is to open it up.You can also take the rocker cover off and there is lines on the cams and depending where the line are will tell you if it uk, wrx or sti heads....

 

well the engines gettin a overhaul any way, just dnt wnt to fork out anymore then i have to. Thanks for the help.
