Methynol ethynol additives
Please forgive me if there's already been an exhaustive thread on this, only had a quick search and didn't see one.
So I'm looking at a remap on my high power setting to suit a meth (or eth!) mix of about 20%, but what's the difference between a meth mix, a ethynol mix and say E85 fuel which i believe is 85% ethynol.
I may even be tempted to run it on both maps as it looks like it'd be a saving on fuel cost as well.
Also why buy E85 when you could buy the ethynol and mix your own?
cheers

the normal use is methanol @ 10%; e85 @ 20%, giving similar gains. Not sure about the consistant availability of e85? but methanol can be sourced from Jennychem.
There is a big tax on ethanol and is dificult to obtain (think you require a licence) because of it's diverse use. Methanol is poisonous and needs to be handled with extreme care.
The cost advantage is offset slightly because you will use more of the mix over straight petrol
