Default cheap = poor quality?

Whilst looking for an exhaust system, I came across this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

which is extremely cheap for a full system! However, there must be a catch in terms of anything that is much cheaper than alternatives is usually of a poor quality. But what about an exhaust system? If they are all made of T-304 Stainless Steel and are of the same size, what actually makes them better (and therefore presumable this one worse)?

Cheers!

cheap systems are usually poor quality welds or sometimes mild steels welds, thinner material, badly packed and small silencer so usually very loud, also those flexi joints are not good, internals of boxes can also be mild steel on some systems, you generally get what you pay for and I wouldn't buy that system would rather pick up some quality used items off either ebay or here. But this is just my opinion it may well fit ok and last, I just wouldn't take the chance.

^^^^ agreed...probably will be all sorts of fitting problems with it. i would steer well clear of it. maybe save yourself the hassle and get a reputable make and build up to a full decat over time. it will cost more, but quality does.

But each to there own.

Yup, I won't actually be buying it because of the price (and therefore quality), but just found it and wondered what the actual differences are between cheap and good quality. Thanks!

The choice is huge mate, http://www.haywardandscott.com/subar...a-new-age.html. No need to buy or fit the low quality unknown rubbish.
