Default car not sounding right

Hi everyone i have a MY02 sti. i had it remapped my dynamix a few months ago as i had an engine rebuild done by api as the engine went pop. i havent drove the car for about 2 weeks but i just now started it up first things the car idols just over 1.2k rpm as david said it would due to upgraded pistons. so about 5 mins later the exhaust is still blowing out a gray smoke is this normal? then a few mins later the car idols then every few seconds it chuggs (dont know if i spelt that right lol) but i found it did this when on boost just before i took the car off the road any ideas if this is bad or is it ok?

thanks in advance

the chugging on idle could be the fans kicking in?

If you have a stainless steel exhaust I've heard the gather quite alot of condensation when cold. Mine is very smokey in the morning but once the engine warms up the smoke clears.

Hope that helps

any car will give off steam when started from cold as they all trap moisture in the exhaust, if it ok when warm then nothing to worry about,

well i have left it running for 30mins and the smoke is all good but the engine is still making a chugging noise from inside the car so i lifted the bonnet up and looked at it and every few seconds you see the engine move when it makes the chugg noise anyone know what this is and if its something to worry about? also i put my foot down on the gas and moved the revs to a steady 2k rpm and it still chuggs? any ideas whould be good as i dont really want another rebuild as i have only covered 2562 on this engine.

If you are worried, surely your FIRST point of call would be Duncan, at Dynamix? An extremely well-respected mapper, and a nice guy.
