Default OIL GRADE?

Just picked up 57plate GB270 at last today, the deal said it had been serviced, and i asked what grade of oil that had used, in the case of needing to top it up, they have put on the recipet of the service 10w 40, having just read that the recomended is 5w 30, is this right and will the 10w 40 do any harm?

No. You'll be fine. A fully synthetic oil would offer more protection to a modified car such as yours
