air filter

Hi all, I have an after market K & N airfilter with a cone top, do I need to buy a new one or can these be washed?

If yes hot soapy water??

What you need is a k&n cleaning kit there £8.50 delivered on ebay only use this as anything else could knacker the filter it comes in 2 bottles one for cleaning and one for reoiling the filter after its cleaned

How long have you had the filter? K&N's can go for years without needing to be cleaned with normal use.
