Default Emissions problems for MOT HELP?

Guys just trying to get an idea as to what might be the problem with my emissions being too high for the MOT at present. The car is a V4 my98 Type R & as it is at the moment for mot has a 2.1 Stroker, RCM Headers, standard exhaust from the turbo back, standard injectors, standard ecu a td05 20g but this has the actuator held open to prevent any boost being generated until the engine is run in.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Also it's now running fault code which says there is a problem with the knock sensor, if that is the case could that be contributing to the high emissions?

knock sensor error is unlikely to cause an emissions problem but you need to investigate that separately.

Is the Lambda failing? if the lambda is failing then it could be lambda sensor, exhaust leak or combination of your setup on the standard ecu.

If the lambda is passing then you are looking at most likely a cat issue.
