hi all sorry i bet this has been asked a million times but cant seem to find a 100% answer!
just want to know the code for the above gearbox?? as it went bang tonight and need it replacing asap so if any one knows of one please let me know

I just sold one for £200 done 70 k

A import wrx box with fit with the matching rear diff.

Hope this helps

I am pretty sure it is a TY754 gearbox ,but i am sure someone will clarify

TY754VN1AA. You can replace it like for like, or with a VN2AA/3AA/4AA. The latter ones are from the newage cars and are drop-in replacements (the most you might have to do is transfer over your old speed sensor or reverse/neutral position switch harness).

Clearly with one of those you will not only be getting a newer (and likely lower mileage) box, they also feature some design improvements over the late classic units.

sorry to hijack but, are you saying that the standard rear diff that runs with my TY754VN1aa will support VN2AA/3AA/4AA?

Of course. I wouldn't have been able to write what I did in #4 if it didn't.
