Default Automatic IC Water Spary - When does it spray?

Hi all,

I have just picked up a JDM Spec C and was wonderimg if anyone knew when the IC gets sprayed when in auto mode?

Is it triggered by temp. rpm or what?

Thanks

I believe it's controlled by the ECU.

You mean you bought it without doing any research into what its designed for?
Questions you should have asked were:-

What are you going to use the car for?
Is this car suitable for my needs?
Can I live with no sound proofing and a 50ltr fuel tank?
What benefits are there to this car over the standard STI?
Can I deal with the 6 month/7.5k service intervals? (though all JDM hawkeye's have the same service intervals)

You may find you have bought the wrong car (alot of people who buy spec c's normally find out that way).

Hello Tony,

Thanks for your concern, however I thoroughly researched about the JDM Spec C well before even looking at them.

I have many years experience with Subaru's I have owned Legacies, Foresters, which I still have, and Impreza's so I would say I have experience with them.

All that you have mentioned above I am fully aware of, when I said "what this car is all about" I was actually referring to some of the features of the car which I was not sure about.

Such as a button which is located to the left of the coin holder/fuse box cover. But I think this is an aftermarket addition.

And other things which I have managed to figure out myself.

I bought the car for the right reasons, it will be seeing track action, both here and at the Ring, and it is my daily driver, and I can take my family out for the day in it if I so wish.

I came from a TVR T350T which wanted to kill me each time I drove it, so I think I can deal with the noise in the cabin as compared to the TVR it is very quiet!!

Trust me, I know I have bough the right car

Rear foglight button?
Or an addition to the alarm system, depends where you bought the car from, for instance if its a clifford it could be the valet switch or if its a cobra it could be the immobiliser over ride.

Hi Tony,

Its a Litchfield Spec C, so it has a Cobra alarm fitted, however I took a look behind the switch and it is connected to nothing, so its seems redundant.
