I have a 1997 uk turbo, I gather that Jap models have version numbers,

mine is a phase 1.5, if I wanted to put sti heads onto it, would they be

verson 3 or 4 or either?

Also, how much can I expect to pay for decent v3/4 heads?

Yes the STI v3 and v4 were both phase 1.5 engines.
not sure how much you would pay though as I have never had the need to replace mine with 2nd hand ones

I'm not going to re-use my heads, as they are on about 130,000, so thought sti ones

would be best to use, did you mean porting mine, or the sti's?

Either one, may be worth porting ones that you dont have on, harvey would be a good place to start, he may have some on the shelf
