Default Knock sensor CEL

Just been out for a couple of hours driving, it's a pretty hot day here, 33ish and the CEL came on, got home and checked the code and it's 22 Knock sensor.
The car is a MY98 Terzo, completely standard apart from a backbox.
This happened last month when driving through Italy in high temperatures too.....
What can I do to prevent what I guess is det from happening?
Thanks
Wardy

There is no CEL for Det hence the use of det cans or knock link. The code is telling you that the KS is prob on its way out or is at fault in some way. Check it for security and/or damaged wiring and replace if needed

Not normally (just comes on for any of the various sensor/s that might have failed/be out of spec).

The oil light however..................................
