td05 and decat
Need 550cc injectors and a New Age TMIC or FMIC+IK, before the remap. Then you'll give the turbo the chance to make the 330-350bhp it's capable of.

iv fitted them and it goes like stink but has about a week of lag then goes ? im using the actuator from my td04 could this be the cause ?
also iv just been for a drive and it pulled to 125 then it was registering 17psi and hit fuel cut ........????

take your toilet, add a bigger water tank, it fills up more, your toilet overflows when you flush so you have to put a bigger bowl in to compensate, without compensating you will flood your house and have a HUGE bill, thats whats happening here, your engine cannot compensate for what you have done, you have changed the characteristics of the air/fuel ratio as well as going outside the standard ecu map, it wont be happy, and they normally dont stay unhappy long before they go BANG!

My mate also has a td05 and a brand new decat which he has bought for his 1995 wrx wagon
,but his is auto transmission. He has bought a new ecu with a polar performance chip
which was fitted to a saloon 95 wrx,which had a td05 fitted as std,and wants me to fit it for him on monday, but i am just a bit wary
as the most power that came from an auto wrx that i am aware of is 240 bhp.With the chip and other mods ie:walbro,full decat ,etc,just wondering if the box can take it.
Legacy twin turbo's auto box can take 280 bhp all day long,and i'am hoping its the same for the impreza.

OP, I assume you've just fitted the TD05 16g and decat d/p - and nowt else?
You need to match the TD05H 16g with an ECU intended for it. The Z4 (260PS) or the 6K (275PS) are the ones to go for.
Or has already been mentioned, get a Polar Performance chip (or already PP-chipped ECU). Good for up to c.280bhp with a decat... plus the fuelling tables have been sorted so it runs slightly on the rich (safe!) side.
Or best of all, get a bespoke custom remap on ESL Live....
Whatever, you should address this asap, or as has already been stated, engine won't be long for this world. You're running this bigger turbo on the (now underfuelling!) wagon's 220PS rated ECU - as it was mapped for the smaller std fit TD04L!!!...

You should be okay with the correct TD04 and a decat - the AFR's will have been brought back within the 3B ECU's capabilities...

i personally wouldnt bother with the ebay chips. speak to major sarcasm. he has chips with a map which is the same as the scoobyecu/polar chips that have been tried and tested for years and years.

OP, I take it if you do get a PP chip, you're going to reinstate the TD05 16g to make the most of it? Most PP chips knocking about have a map for the more popular TD05 - although there is one designed for the TD04 too...
