Default Oil temp sender fitting help!

I have a set of Stack Pro Control gauges that I started to fit last night.

Removed various bits of the engine to access the oil pressure switch and the space under the TMIC to fit the temp sender. Oil pressure took a little bit of persuasion, but got it fitted. The temp sender on the other hand caused much cursing.

There was already a sender fitted (I *think* this was a defi), which i removed with no issues. this was fitted to a bung, which was fitted to the block.

When i tried to fit the Stack sender it was a no go. It didn't fit. I think it was marginally too big for the bung, so just wouldn't thread. The supplied thread englarger was no where near big enough to replace the bung in the block, so couldn't fit the new sender.

Does anyone know of the size of the hole in the block so that I can order a new adapter to make my Stack sender fit?

thanks all
