Is your sump oil level too high? That's one common cause of significant amounts of venting.

Unfortunately the other potential cause is piston/ring wear/damage - and that's something you need to evaluate and rule in/out pretty quick, as the sooner you catch it the cheaper the fix will be.

If your oil level is above the full level when hot, drain some and see if that that fixes the problem. Probably also worth checking for indirect signs of internal damage. Compression test would be the obvious next move.

Only what I suggested on the phone the other day with the restrictor in the turbo oil feed pipe. If that turbo has been fitted without one the oil may be making its way through the turbo and into the intercooler/engine/exhaust etc.

Sounds pretty terminal.
How many miles have you done in the 3 weeks?
Even if that oil loss wasn't down to an engine issue, running around with the low pressure light on is sure to kill it off.
Oil levels need checking as often as you can.

As above, the bad news is that whatever else may be going on, allowing the oil level to drop to the point the light has come on, may well be a death sentence for the engine anyway.

Only advice is as per the previous poster. Do a compression test and let the results guide your next move.

cheers guys done about 500 miles..
So how do you do a compression test, have put hand over oil cap and revved the car and the pressure hardly changes.. since my last post the car has rud down to alost nothing again and smoke blow out the exhaust and from the engine.. bloody car.. could the turbo seals have gone pushing the oil through the intercooler and into the head.?

It is most unlikely that oil loss of the magnitude you seem to be describing would be coming from the compressor end turbo seal - which is where it'd need to be emerging to find its way into the intercooler.

You do a compression test either by taking it to your local garage/specialist and having them do it, or else buying a compression gauge and then checking on here for the specific details of how to do it on an Impreza. Given the way you're describing the symptoms at the moment, the best thing you can do would probably be to get the car in front of a specialist as soon as you possibly can and letting them diagnose it for you.
