Sti discs on wrx handbrake ?
i got Sti brakes to go on to my wrx blob eye, when stripping the rear discs from the hub of the sti i noticed that the handbrake shoes are about 20mm wider than on the wrx, what do i need to do to get the wrx to accept the sti brake discs, they are both 100pcd and i have all the hubs etc from the sti.
i will be ordering new discs, are there any that will be big enough for the brembo calipers but retain the standard wrx handbrake components ?
Is there a fitting guide anywhere to show me what i need to do ?

The handbrake shoes are indeed about 20mm larger - exactly 20mm as it happens.
If you aren't planning on converting to the entire R180 back end, you will need some oversize handbrake shoes. Try Ian Godney.

No you cannot swap parts from one to the other , the sti Has larger hubs , bearings , and shafts so the handbrake is larger , the handbrake shoes I supply are the right size to fit your back plates but fit the Sti discs
I have these in stock for next day delivery and they are £135 delivered
Cheers Ian

Hi
Same with most things really , someone comes out with an idea , and uses the correct materials to make them , others cut corners and use inferior parts and sell them cheaper.
No you dont need a bracket to fit them , just the thicker handbrake shoes.
Yes I have seen the cheaper elsewhere , but they are not to the quality of ours , we use brand new handbrake shoes to start with , the cheaper ones uses used shoes from scrap cars , and our lining is the correct high temp lining made for car brakes , not low temp machinery linings that are not designed for this use , we have tried the cheaper linings and they didn't last.
We cannot offer them any less than £135 delivered , fit the cheaper ones and you take a chance on them failing
Cheers Ian
