Default Best place to mount lambda for wideband gauge?

As the tile suggests!

I have a beautiful stack wideband air / fuel gauge to fit, and handily am having a new turbo back decat Cobra system fitted tomorrow, so, where should the lambda sensor be fitted?

I'm of the understanding it should be on the down pipe as close to the turbo as possible, is that right?

Thanks

Not too close - about 6" clear should be fine and not underneath either. Apparently they don't like it.
