Default STI V3 In My V2 WRX HELP

Having just bought a STI engine from MR_D Spot on service by the way, im going to be getting a REMAP in the next two months as i cant afford it just now due to the other half being pregnant and due soon so i just wanted some advice, CITY Driving with some soft slippers for a while

OK, So far I have.........

V3 STI Engine
V3 ECU Chipped
HKS Hi-Power Mushroom Filter
HKS Hi-Power Back Box With Afterburner Centre Section
HKS SSQV
HKS Turbo Timer

Just had a full service and replaced MAF, Lamba & All Coil Packs

Ive been advised to buy a 255 Fuel Pump, is there anything else i will need to get before i go for a remap and also where would use advise to go in scotland as im up in ABERDEEN but am willing to travel......

Cheers

As far as i am aware, but done qoute me on this but the v3 ecu cant be remapped so what chip is it that you have on ur ecu as if your having all those mods on the v3 sti without a remap ( which means an aftermarket ecu) then expect to be rebuilding it in the next thousand miles as it will run lean!

what power figure are you looking at?

TBH I really couldnt care much about power as i'd rather not blow the bloody thing up like my last WRX Engine!

I have no idea mate as the ECU is coming with the STI Engine so i think its just the standard ECU that was with the Engine but there will be no heavy foot driving untill i get the remap (I was told 2 months no heavy foot will be ok?)

The problem you got mate is the v3 and v4 ecu's are not mappable! so its not as simple as just getting it re-mapped , you will end up buying a new after market ecu or some kind of daughter board i think!

On my v4 i have a simtek ecu and it works a treat

and with a standard sti your looking at 280 bhp so a marked increase on a wrx and with mods and a map to suit you could be looking at 320-ish!

Driving with a
Standard STI Engine
HKS Hi-Power Mushroom Filter
HKS Hi-Power Back Box With Afterburner Centre Section
HKS SSQV
HKS Turbo Timer

will town driving from A to B on a light foot not boosting all the time be ok without a REMAP for about 3 months?

This true???.... Cheers
