Hi all
Is there any identifying marks on a walbro 255?
I've bought one second hand and there is no name, model or and details at all printed on it.

I wouldnt worry as long as its from a reputable source and it has a matching flow, after all its only an electric motor at the end of the day which probably isnt manufactured by Walbro. I have purchased 2 from ebay which were supposed to be Original Walbro without any identifying marks but have been fine.

i bought it off someone on here, my only worry is that i think it is a 255 and it is not and i have actually bought a standard one. If that makes sense
As said above walbro ones are normally silver and have a big W on the front, and i am sure they have made in usa in small print on the pump. The later classics & newage cars o/e pumps tended to be gold/bronze in colour and had: '12V made in japan' ; on the top of the pump.
I bought a new uprated pump one off ebay lasted 6 weeks then it seized,a lot of people do sell there old pumps back on and put them in the box supplied with the walbro, especially on ebay
