Getting a new key...
Hey all, i've got a 2001 bug eye, but only have one key.
The cheapest i've found so far for a new key (like to have one spare, just in case) is £75 from Timpsons in town. They've confirmed they can code the key, but it'll likely be a Nissan blade. Either way, they've said it will work.
I have a Cobra Cat 1 alarm which has an immob and provides remote central locking. The key, I believe also turns off the cars factory immob, but has no push buttons.
Can anyone suggest any cheaper ways of getting a spare key? In my old VW days, there was a way to code the new key (seemingly the expensive part) by having the new one in the ignition and using the other in a mysterious sequence in the door. Anything like that for a scooby?
Thanks all!
