I accidently smashed my rear window in my 97 import and am goin through the insurance and there using autowindscreens who are having trouble getting it I think has anyone used them and has anyone had trouble getting a rear window also will the uk window fit if I remove the wiper

 

I work for autowindscreens (only for 3 more weeks!) import glass is a nightmare to get mate. Yes the uk spec one would fit but will look wrong. Have you asked if anyone on here has got one? or ask your insurance company if you can use someone else.

 

I haven't as of yet but I tried to use auto glass and they said no why would it look wrong ?

 

Glass in a import is bronze colour, uk spec is green mate, won,t match the rest of the car.

 

oh right cos the one I have is green colour but with the wiper and I be gettin it tinted so shouldn't matter??

 

If your window is green mate then should be able to get one easily.

 

Ok thanks the guy I spoke to said it should be a week for the uk one and 5 weeks for the jap one so I said just get the uk one and I got I think kevin coming tomorrow night to fit a temp rear window for the time Beeing
